It’s been a busy summer and fall here at First Step! We’ve been getting out into the community, but most importantly we’ve been in the office adjusting up a storm. Patients are making progress every day, and their spreading the good news around. Â All the while, it’s been my pleasure to stay true to the values that made me want to open this office from day one: real, relatable answers to your health questions and patient empowerment – because when you have the tools you need, it’s a whole lot easier to make the necessary changes to life to get you not only out of pain, but living better than you ever thought possible.
These were some of the topics I got to sit down and discuss with Patrick Rife, co-founder of StartUp Soiree. Â Start up Soiree is a group for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs in Baltimore. Â The networking events they hold monthly are some of my favorite – full of great minds with fresh, new ideas…and delicious food and drinks from local vendors. They also do a weekly podcast, available on iTunes, Stitcher, and SoundCloud. Â When Patrick asked for business owners to come share their stories, I was happy to oblige (if not a little worried that my voice would be a little unsuitable for radio, thereby turning potential listeners away from chiropractic forever).
Our conversation flowed easily, and we actually stayed on the topic of chiropractic even more than I was expecting before we talked about building a business and the core of the First Step brand. It was great to have the opportunity to get excited about chiropractic with a new audience and to really put into words the things that our patients can expect when they come into our office. And I didn’t say ‘Umm’ nearly as much as I was expecting!
